On September 28th, 2022, the ECOFEL organized a successful and informative online workshop, “Cooperation and Information Sharing between FIUs, LEAs and Prosecutors,” with the Egmont Group’s Europe II region participants. Participants participated in a series of presentations highlighting the importance of cooperation and explored the best practices in the field.
Through the workshop, participants gathered a better understanding of enhancing the FIUs’ role in financial investigations, formal and informal mechanisms for cooperation between FIUs and LEAs, and best practices for information sharing. The ECOFEL welcomed the engagement of all the participants.
The ECOFEL team would like to thank its consultant, Klaudijo Stroligo and Diana Rocco, Head of FIU Holy See – Vatican City State, for contributing to this successful event.
